How do I purchase from your website?
In order to purchase, clients complete and submit our Request to Purchase. This form may be accessed here or via a link posted on any available product’s page, near the main image. Submitting the completed form will initiate the purchase process, prior to an order being placed.
Orders are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for complete details about orders placed with SmokingSilverPipes.com.
Where are your prices?
Prices are posted near the top of each product’s page. You’ll see the main image; to the right of it is the name of the item and directly below it is the price.
Below the price is a brief description followed by a link to go directly to the product’s images, then the “Request to Purchase” form, found here.
Do you have a catalog?
No, we do not have a catalog. All of our products are shown in the Shop, available here.
Within the categories, there may be sub-categories, such as the category for Silver Pipes. Simply hover over the menu item “Shop” at the top of the page to see the dropdown list, move down and hover over the category of interest, and then click on the category to go to that page.
Why can’t I add anything to a cart, and where is the cart page?
Our products are one of a kind, with the exception of the Mini Toke Signature Pipe. Therefore, we have a “Request to Purchase” form you can access here instead of a cart. This allows us to monitor requests for products in the order they are received. In the case of two requests for the same item, the first request received would be honored.
That said, we have intentionally omitted the cart and cart page from the website in order to fill orders on a first come, first serve basis. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for complete details about orders placed with SmokingSilverPipes.com.

How long does it take to make a pipe?
Each pipe is different and presents its own challenges. Most of our silver pipes are completed within two days. Some pipes have taken longer. As with anything handmade, the amount of time required will vary.
Do the photos show the actual size of the smoking bowl, silver pipe, or specialty item?
No; photographs are taken to show details and overall design as best as possible and in many cases, do not reflect the actual size of the item. However, the specifications for each item are listed on the product’s page.
What does the ‘999’ mean that’s stamped into the piece?
The purity of the silver used is indicated by the numbers. Pure silver is 999, while sterling silver is 925. Here at Smoking Silver, we choose to mark all individual pieces accordingly for accuracy. Click here to read more about silver standards.
What is the difference between a design that has a single-walled bowl and a double-walled bowl?
A single-walled bowl is the exterior silver bowl of the design that you see. If the design of a pipe or smoking bowl is double-walled, there is a second bowl built into the design. It is incorporated inside the bowl you see on the outside.
What is the difference between the performance or experience of a single-walled bowl and a double-walled bowl?
The smoker’s experience will not vary. However, the double-walled design provides a cooler handling experience for the user.
Metals get hot when heat is applied and these beauties are metal pipes. Although the single-walled bowl is still comfortable to handle, the double-walled is just a bit more so.
In addition, the double-walled bowl allows for the smoke to cool a bit more prior to being inhaled.
Are the gems used for color accent genuine?
Yes, they are. Specific sizes and details of gems used are included within each item’s description, when applicable.
How do I clean my pure silver item?
Silver is a precious metal. We encourage all users to take special care of these beautiful items and provide in-depth care and cleaning instructions here.
In addition, the instructions are provided with every pipe and bowl we sell.
Can I use these pipes with tobacco?
No, these pipes are not designed to be used with regular tobacco.
Can I hold these pipes between my teeth?
No. We strongly advise not holding these pipes between your teeth. Silver is a soft metal. Clenching between the teeth will most likely dent the pipe’s stem, which will ruin the pipe’s appearance and may render it unusable.
Why are there photos of pieces that have been sold?
These photos remain available to show other designs we have created. They offer inspiration and provide insight to the range of talent involved in creating our elegant designs.
Can I order an item just like one that has been sold?
Although you may request one like an item that has sold, it will not be identical. As every handmade product has its variations, so too will an item duplicated.
In addition, we pride ourselves on creating original, unique items that are one-of-a-kind. Herein lies the nature of exclusivity and the owner having the only one of that item.
Two exceptions are when we make a duo set (ideal for a couple), and our Mini Toke Signature Pipe, which is the only pipe for sale in limited quantity.
As for the first example, we currently have one such duo in our line-up and the exclusivity it provides is that they are the only two of their kind and are sold as one unit. See our matching pair of pipes for smoking, Mirror Reflection, here.
Do you take custom orders if I have a design in mind?
We are open to reviewing what you have in mind. However, the decision to attempt to create the vision another has for their pipe or smoking bowl remains with the silversmith.

How are items shipped?
Our silver products are shipped within their own handmade, wooden box. The item is protected inside its box with cushions to hold it securely in place and prevent damage during shipping. The entire package is shipped with insurance and tracking.
What is your return policy?
We do accept returns when certain conditions are met, as outlined in the Terms & Conditions.
Do you sell internationally?
Currently, we do not sell internationally. However, please feel free to contact us to discuss options, should you live outside the United States.
Do you sell gift certificates?
No, not at this time. However, our elegant, pure silver pipes and smoking bowls do make exceptional, unique gifts!
Do you sell wholesale?
No, we do not sell wholesale.
